We have some users starting to upload midi, which is great, its what this site is all about. Midi seekers finding new midi or the old hard to find ones.

Some of those being submitted need the correct title and need a band or artist associated with them. If you have the time as a user and notice a user submitted midi file that isnt labled right or in the right place, leave a note in the comment.

do we need a forum?

one thing that really gets under the skin easy are websites that get on top site lists that are just triangle sites that offer little or no content for the list it is on.

on the site http://www.midielite.com/index.php there is a site listed as "high quality midi files" which links to this site: http://www.highqualitymidifiles.com/

if you do go to the site, you will find it hard to find any midi's. there are plenty of ads and buttons. ads for music equipment. and from our visit, there was maybe 10 midi files. and there are plenty of links to other Top Midi sites.

Also http://freekaraokesongs.net/ which looks exactly like the other two listed above.

Seeing that these triangle circle sites offer little to no midi, its obvious that people will visit these sites, find nothing but links to other midi sites that just so happen to be Top Midi sites.

In tern, when a midi site like these, designed the same with the same layout and little content, of course their users will try to find a site that does offer something. So the user ends up having to vote for the crappy midi site just to find sites listed on the Top site lists.

The bad thing is that this turns into a highly voted site, because there is nothing there.

We have noticed these sites appearing on some top midi sites and we will voice our opinion to the lists.

Freemidi.org will not send traffic to lists that promote junk triangle / circle jerk sites that offer nothing to the user. Only a cheap ploy to display thousands of ads on a junk site.

there were some errors with rating midi. it has been fixed. in the changes and fixes made, the voting/rating of all midi has been reset to null.

audio ads should disapear. they are not welcome.

songs can now be commented on.

bruce midi's added. if you have some to share, add them.

parts of the site might be hard to see. some things change the way they look. its all in progress. community of the midi minds.

users can now upload midi. if you have a song for a category that does not exist, please specify it in the notes.

The form button element on the download pages has to go. It is understood that most people find it easier to right click and save a target as.

The way the downloads work now is that a form button is clicked, this could cause unwanted playing in media player, when all the user wants to do is download the file to their computer.

The button will be turned into a link. When? Soon.

a feature to allow user uploads will require comments and feedback from users. alerting users of bogus files. stand by.

there was a problem with displaying the rate midi link after a midi had one rating. that link is fixed. go rate a midi.
